Welcome to the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic!
When I became the Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies I publicly promised to conduct all my duties in the name of the people I have the honor to represent. And because I understand my role as service to others, my vision has always been to open the Chamber for the general public as much as possible and as often as possible. The Presidency of the Council of the European Union is a great opportunity to implement my vision not only at the national level but at the international one as well.
Together with my distinguished colleagues we will do our utmost to make this happen. I firmly believe that by doing so, we can make our country a better place for life of us all.

Parliamentary party groups
The legal delimitation of the activities of the parliamentary party groups can be found in the Act on the Rules of Procedure of the Chamber of Deputies. Deputies can associate in parliamentary party groups, namely according to memebership in the political parties or political movements for which they were candidates in the elections. Deputies who are members of one political party can form only one parliamentary party group.
