A press gallery is available in the Assembly Hall of the Chamber of Deputies for journalists, photographers and television reporters.
Journalists are allowed to attend meetings of the Chamber of Deputies and watch the deliberations from a press gallery, located above the right section of the Assembly Hall from the perspective of the chairing person. A visitors‘ gallery is available on the other side. The press gallery is accessible from the Press Centre on the 2nd floor of the main building of the Chamber of Deputies, door No. 215. Each of the 32 seats in the press gallery is equipped with a folding table for writing or for a laptop; the Hall also provides WiFi access to the Internet.
There is also a special area for photographers and TV camera operators in the press gallery, where they can make their own footage to complement recordings from the Chamber of Deputies‘ official camera system.
The main Information Press Centre is located in the immediate vicinity of the press gallery, where journalists can receive all the required documents for the current sitting of the Chamber of Deputies: Chamber of Deputies documents (bills and summary of them as well, agenda of the plenary session), resolutions, amendments, government opinions on Chamber of Deputies documents, speech transcripts (stenographic records) from the Assembly Hall and Rules of Procedure of the Chamber of Deputies.
